In line with recent Government announcements, we are excited to announce that we will be opening up our gift shop again on the 14th April. As usual we will be open five days per week, Wednesday to Sunday, 10am – 4.30pm.
We are in the process of planning catch-up woodcraft courses for those people who had their courses postponed. We will also be adding new dates, as well providing the odd place on catch-up courses. In line with guidance, we cannot run courses for individuals from mixed households indoors until 17th May at the earliest. However we can run outdoor courses from 12th April, making use of our outdoor shelter if needed. It will take time to add the next few months of course dates, but please feel free to make contact should you be interested in discussing a bespoke course for individuals or small groups.
We will continue to post updates on Instagram & Facebook. For an idea of the courses that will be available, please follow the link from the courses page on this website, and then click ‘Past Events’. Please get in touch with any questions and thanks for supporting local business. Here’s to an uplifting and exciting 2021 and beyond!
I have spent a lifetime connecting with our great outdoors and have developed a deep-routed passion for all the wonders our fabulous planet has to offer us. From exploring unclimbed mountains in Greenland, to wondering through ancient woodlands in Scotland, nothing recharges my energy levels quite like being outdoors.
With more than 30 years' experience of working in education and training, I am now taking the opportunity to launch a new career in wood-crafting. Using my crafting skills to make and sell unique pieces and tapping into my training and education skills to offer wood-craft skills courses.Read More
My woodland workshop sits at the heart of Wyresdale Park’s 800-acre country estate, just above the beautiful village of Scorton. Set amongst the trees and woodland trails, this inspirational space is where I create and sell my unique hand-crafted products, as well as running wood-craft skills courses.
There is plenty to do on site and in the surrounding area with woodland and countryside walks, including the brilliantly named Nicky Nook Hill with fabulous views of the surrounding hills, the Lakeland Fells and out over Morecambe Bay. There is the splendid Applestore cafe just above the workshop, and glamping opportunities for a great family get away.Read More
