My Courses

There is something quite magical about crafting raw wood into beautiful and functional objects. Most of my courses and wood-craft experiences are run from my workshop in Ghyll Wood on the fabulous Wyresdale Park estate, and are based on traditional ‘greenwood or wildwood’ skills and techniques. The workshop is about 50 metres from the highly recommended Apple Store café. This is an inspirational space for getting creative, making use of both indoor and outdoor space. When the weather is cold the log burner keeps things nice and toasty, and the large windows provide great views out into the woods beyond.

I offer a range of courses throughout the year, from short ‘have a go’ sessions to more intensive full day experiences. Most of my courses are suitable for beginners, and for those with some woodcraft experience.

• Small group bookings for advertised courses but on a date that works for you
• Tailored courses that can work around your needs
• Family courses – a number of options are available including carving magic wands and swords, for younger children (minimum age generally Five years but this needs agreeing and is dependant on individuals and circumstance), small stick frame tables and stools & stick frame bench for older children, but as part of a family course.

Vouchers

I offer two types of voucher, both of which can be personalised for special occasions such as Christmas, birthdays, weddings etc.

• Money vouchers that can be used in my small woodcraft shop, or as full or part payment for a course booking
• Course specific vouchers for advertised courses
